Soundarya Lahari Verse 1.
..I was requested to do a 5*7 art card for a bangle ceremony favor bags or return gifts, it was supposed to be tucked into a goody bag ( or reusable box in this case) that had a beautiful towel, bangles, kum kum and turmeric, and some sweet treats. Vallaikappu or Bangle Ceremony is a ceremony that is celebrated to protect and honor pregnant women and to ensure her safe and happy entrance into motherhood.
After much discussion with my my mom, we settled on doing Verse 1 from Saundarya Lahari.
Saundarya Lahari meaning "Waves of Beauty" , eulogizes the absolute Beauty , Grace and Magnificence of Ambaal, (Goddess Parvathi, the consort of Lord Shiva). It is an incredible and tremendous literary work in Sanskrit believed to be written by Sri Adi Sankaracarya.
This was what we created.
